Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program
Alumni

SHERP students benefit from an extensive and tight-knit alumni network in seeking internships and jobs. There's also a lively SHERP-only e-mail listserv used by more than 160 "SHERPies" to swap advice and news about job openings. If you're a graduate of SHERP or a current student, you can join the discussion at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sherpies/.

SHERP alumni and friends who wish to provide tuition assistance to students who need it may now contribute to the Bill Burrows SHERP Scholarhip Fund, named for SHERP's founding director.

Supporters may contribute online via this secure site or may send SHERP a check made out to New York University, with 'Bill Burrows Scholarship Fund' written in the lower left corner. The address is Bill Burrows SHERP Scholarship Fund c/o SHERP, NYU Department of Journalism, 20 Cooper Square, NY, NY 10003.

Returning to NYU from all over the world, about 200 alumni gathered in September 2007 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of SHERP with a full day of events.

The list below reflects the last known professional position held by each SHERP graduate since the program began in 1982. To discourage spammers, the e-mail addresses listed below use "[at]" instead of the correct "@" symbol. When sending e-mail, replace "[at]" with "@".
